Kodak Easyshare C190 12MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom and 2.7-inch LCD

I am extremely disappointed in this camera – I picked it up on a QVC show (and would return it had I not misplaced the packing slip info and receipt). The photos whether the subject is still or moving, no matter what the setting (and the smart capture is a joke) come out blurry and grainy – and when other people have tried it thinking it was a “user” problem, they were quick to remark that it takes awful pictures. My last Kodak an Easy Share DX4330 was an absolute joy to use which is why I bought this one (the C190). I no longer will purchase Kodak based on name brand trust.

I have owned several Kodak cameras since the 1970′s with great sucess and happiness. That said this is the worst camera I have ever used. Pictures using a disposable would be better, in fact I would have them. Imagine – pictures of you childs Christmas program and you can’t download them. Then Christmas and you go to try again and the camera wants to reformat the memory card. You say no and find out EVERY PICTURE YOU HAVE TAKEN IS GONE! Nothing, wiped out and your husband is on his way to a war zone. Nice way to remember Christmas. This camera is a plastic Chinese nightmare.
POOR CONSTRUCTION, PLASTIC AND SHODDY
NO INSTRUCTIONS (A SMALL PAMPHLET IS ALL THAT IS INCLUDED)& INSTUCTIONS ON LINE ARE POORLY WRITTEN
SOFTWARE UPGRADE DOESN’T WORK – YOU HAVE TO GET THE ONE ON LINE
WON’T DOWNLOAD OR WORK WITH EASYSHARE SOFTWARE
BATTERY LOAD IS MIS-MARKED
NO VIEW PORT – SCREEN ONLY
ALL INDOOR PICTURES HAVE TO BE TAKEN WITH ISO ADJUSTMENT OR ARE TOO DARK
RECOVERY TIME IS SO SLOW YOU MISS MOST SHOTS AND LORD HELP YOU IF YOU TAKE ONE THAT IS POOR AND HAVE TO WAIT TO TAKE THE NEXT, YOU WAIT FOREVER.
I can’t believe Kodak put their name on this.

First off i want to write this is the worst camera i have ever had and i agree with the other reviewer take a picture in the dark with the lights off then see poor quality you will see a grainy picture and its blurry. i tried several different modes portarit, night portarit. and still came out grainy. all it was was a picture of a pumpkin and mums orange flowers and there was a little light out there i printed it out and the flowers were blurry. and the battery compartment on the camera is backwards the + – are reversed. Canon is by far the best in my book. save your money.

Nice starter digital camera with easy-to-use features for this price. Good quality pictures taken with use of a well sized viewer.

I too am extremely disappointed in this camera – I bought it from QVC as a Christmas gift for my daughter. The photos whether the subject is still or moving come out blurry and grainy. I also will no longer will purchase Kodak based on name brand trust. I will probably buy a Canon.
